Worked with the News Feed Expression team to create a system of new user education flows introducing more expressive, dynamic Reactions.

Rethinking Reactions
As part of the FBU curriculum, our cohort spent the first week learning about Facebook's design systems, practices & techniques before designing and presenting a fully-prototyped starter project.
For the rest of the summer, I had total creative freedom with how to introduce these changes since these new additions to Reactions were still in the beginning stages of life. The improvements to Reactions would continue much after my time at Facebook and so the user education flows I designed needed to support that uncertainty, regardless of how these Reactions looked next week, next month, and so forth. How should we announce all of these changes to users? How interactive should it be? The final proposal included a banner CTA along with a more contextual approach where using any Reaction launched a series of modals explaining the changes, keeping the experience as lightweight as possible.
The Reactions overhaul was unfortunately cancelled a few months after my departure due to internal realignment.
